METHOD FOR CONTROLLING DATA RECORDING AND REPRODUCING PROCESSES OF OPTICAL DISK DEVICE, CONCERNED WITH REALIZING A STABLE SERVE OPERATION AND QUICK DATA RECORDING/REPRODUCING OPERATIONS

PURPOSE: A method for controlling data recording and reproducing processes of an optical disk device is provided to repeatedly apply a CLV(Constant Line Velocity) method and a CAV(Constant Angular Velocity) method while maintaining a rotational velocity of an optical disk during a time shift operation. CONSTITUTION: When an operational mode of an optical disk device is set to a time shift mode(S10), a microcomputer records data to an outer direction from an inner direction within a predetermined recording section of an optical disk(S11). If predetermined data is recorded(S12), the microcomputer temporarily stores a final data recording position in a memory(S13), and maintains an optical disk rotational velocity(S14). The microcomputer temporarily stores the read data in a buffer(S15). When the data is buffered(S16), the microcomputer performs a series of 1-velocity data reproducing operations, and searches a previous final data recording position(S17). Until the time shift mode is canceled(S18), the microcomputer repeatedly carries out a data recording process using a CLV method and a reproducing process using a CAV method.
