DEVICE FOR DESORBING VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS (VOCs) AND MOISTURE FROM EXHAUSTED ACTIVATED CARBON BY HEAT UNDER REFLUX FOR REGENERATION OF ACTIVATED CARBON

PURPOSE: A device is provided to desorb volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and moisture from exhausted activated carbon by drying exhausted activated carbon under refluxing condition for regeneration of activated carbon. CONSTITUTION: VOCs and moisture contained in flue gas is adsorbed in activated carbon(2,AC) while flue gas pass through the AC. AC is transferred to the lower part of a housing(11) via a horizontal transfer screw(32) and then AC is transferred to a vertical passage(16) formed in the upper side of the housing via a vertical transfer screw(34). After being transferred in the vertical passage, AC is supplied between a pair of dry rollers(42) by a transfer screw(41). VOCs and moisture are desorbed from AC during drying process, and then it is vented through a vent hole(17) for post heat treatment.
