PURPOSE: A device for generating an LD(Laser Diode) power in an optical recording/reproducing system is provided to compensate for signals of channels 1 and 2 with a current of a reference power of the channel 1, and to measure an output offset current of an LD while compensating for an FPDO(Front Photo Detector Output) signal. CONSTITUTION: An encoder/decoder(300) generates driving signals of channels 1 to 3 and a recording section signal, and outputs the generated signals. A DAC(500) generates powers of the channels 1 to 3 according to a kind of disks, and converts into analog signals to output the analog signals. A laser power controller(200) receives a portion of the powers, compensates for the powers outputted from the DAC(500), and outputs the compensated powers. A recording power compensator(600) compensates for a reference power of the channel 1, a preset constant number, and the powers of the channels 1 and 2. An LD driver(100) overlaps the powers of the channels 1 and 2 with the power of the channel 3, and generates an LD power for driving an LD.
