VOIP TERMINAL HAVING IP CONVERSION FUNCTION AND CALL SETTING METHOD THEREOF, CONCERNED WITH MANAGING IP ADDRESSES AND ALIAS ADDRESSES OF EACH TERMINAL WITHOUT COMPRISING GATEKEEPER IN SMALL-SIZED VOIP NETWORK

PURPOSE: A VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) terminal having an IP conversion function is provided to manage IP addresses and alias addresses of each terminal without comprising a gatekeeper in a small-sized VoIP network, thereby reducing the cost for constructing the VoIP network while effectively setting calls in each terminal. CONSTITUTION: A registration unit(11) registers a self IP address, and approves an IP address and an alias address of other terminal. An IP conversion table(13) stores the approved IP address and the alias address of the other terminal in table type. An input unit(15) receives an alias address of a terminal for setting a call from an optional user. A controller(12) generates the IP conversion table(13) based on the IP address and the alias address of the other terminal, searches the IP conversion table(13), and converts the inputted alias address into an IP address. A VoIP interface unit(14) sets a call with the terminal having the converted IP address through a VoIP network.
