摘要

PURPOSE: An optical disk device and a controlling method of a slider are provided to drive a slider unit such that an objective lens can be located in a central vicinity of an optical field in a head unit, thereby enabling a slider control based on a compensated tracking servo signal low-band component. CONSTITUTION: In case of a tracking servo signal outputted to a low pass filter(7) from a tracking servo operation circuit(6), low-band components only are extracted by cutting high-band components. The low-band components are supplied to a slider servo circuit(9) through an adding circuit(8) as a reference signal for slider controlling. The slider servo circuit(9) makes a level of the low-band components a zero level, to generate a slider servo signal for driving a slider(3). The slider servo signal is outputted for a D/A converter(12). The D/A converter(12) converts the slider servo signal into an analog signal, and supplies the analog signal to a slider driver(14). The slider driver(14) drives/controls the slider(3).
