PURPOSE: A reciprocating motor, and a reciprocating compressor applying the same are provided to reduce stroke displacement of magnets by compensating magnetic flux density in an air gap. CONSTITUTION: A stator assembly(110) is formed of an outer stator(111) fixedly installed at a frame, and an inner stator(112) arranged at the inside the outer stator at a certain air gap. The outer stator is formed of an accumulated body(111A) formed by accumulating a plurality of stator cores, and a wound coil(111B) mounted in the center of an inner peripheral surface of the accumulated body for converting electric energy into magnetic energy. A magnetic flux compensating unit(111c) is formed by extending one pole part(111a) of the outer stator toward the air gap.
