PERFORMANCE MANAGING METHOD FOR MEASURING TRAFFIC OF LSP(LABEL SWITCHING PATH), CONCERNED WITH AUTOMATING PORTION OF SETTING AND RELEASING LSP BY NMS IN MPLS NETWORK
PURPOSE: A performance managing method for measuring traffic of an LSP(Label Switching Path) is provided to automate a portion of setting and releasing an LSP by an NMS(Network Management System) and control the order of LSPs according to priority by applying a traffic parameter and a QoS parameter to each LSP. CONSTITUTION: An MPLS(MultiProtocol Label Switching) network(110) is formed. Each internal module of an IP layer(210), a data link layer(220) and a physical layer(230) of an NMS(200) measures whether each LSP allocates traffic according to an SLA(Service Label Agreement) or whether each LSP properly shows characteristics of a differentiated service by providing priority. In order to effectively manage the lower MPLS network(110), the NMS is divided into the IP layer(210), the data link layer(220) and the physical layer(230) to manage general matters of a detailed equipment and network, and traffic monitoring information generated from a lower portion and resource monitoring information of each host are transferred up to the NMS(200). The NMS(200) transfers a command, which is requested from the MPLS network(110), to NMS internal modules to perform a required traffic monitoring function.
