STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY FOR ABSORBING SHOCK, INCLUDING STEERING COLUMN, UPPER BRACKET, HOLLOW GUIDE BOLT, AND FIXED BRACKET

PURPOSE: A steering column assembly for absorbing shock is provided to prevent interruption of a buckling phenomenon of an upper bracket and to prevent driver's serious injury, by preventing the upper bracket from buckling together with a steering column. CONSTITUTION: A steering column assembly for absorbing shock comprises a steering column including a lower jacket(70) and an upper jacket(90); an upper bracket(10) having a pair of opposed side plates; a guide bolt(30) of a hollow shape having a fixing bolt(80); and a fixed bracket(40) integrally combined to the upper jacket. The lower part of the upper bracket is open. The fixing bolt crosses the guide bolt. The guide bolt has length corresponding to the distance between the side plates. The fixing bolt passes through the inside of the guide bolt. The fixed bracket has a pair of pressed-fitted plates. In the pressed-fitted plates, the ends of the guide bolt are pressed and fitted in each pressing-fitting slots(41).
