PURPOSE: A method for linking a free call service and an automatic collect call service is provided to allow a user to successively use a free call service and an automatic collect call service through one-time call connection. CONSTITUTION: When a caller is connected by generating a call to a designated phone number of a free call and automatic collect call system, the free call and automatic collect call system authenticates the caller to check whether the caller is qualified for the free call service(S210). When the caller is normally authenticated, the free call and automatic collect call system provides a pre-set free call service(S220). When the free call service is terminated, the free call and automatic collect call system sends an announcement that the caller should wait for a moment, disconnects a phone of the caller and a phone of a callee, and switches the caller to a collect call service while giving the caller an automatic collect call service announcement(S230).
