TEST STRIP WITH CLEAR BASE SUPPORT LAYER FOR VISUAL PERCEPTION OF LIQUID SAMPLE DURING ITS APPLICATION

PURPOSE: A test strip with a clear base support layer for visual perception of a liquid sample during its application is provided, which test strip is easily operated, allows for recognition of the liquid sample by a user during its application, is easily manufactured, and inhibits contamination of connection devices by an excessive amount of the liquid sample. CONSTITUTION: The test strip(100) with a clear base support layer for visual perception of a liquid sample during its application comprises a base support layer(102); and a reagent pad(104) positioned on the base support layer(102), wherein at least a portion of the base support layer(102) close to the reagent pad(104) is made of a transparent material, so that a user can recognize the liquid sample through the base support layer(102) during application of the liquid sample to the reagent pad(104); the portion of the base support layer(102) made of the transparent material is positioned with a distance of 0.1 inches or more from the reagent pad(104); one or more of the surface of the base support layer(102) is hydrophobic; the base support layer(102) surrounds the entire circumference of the reagent pad(104); and the base support layer(102) comprises a projected reagent pad platform and the reagent pad is positioned on the projected reagent pad platform.
