PURPOSE: To provide a structure for constructing refractories of RH-OB snorkel to improve life cycle of snorkel and greatly improve working productivity by replacing monolithic refractories on an outer part of the snorkel with other refractories. CONSTITUTION: The structure (1) comprises shaped refractory bricks (124) mounted on the inner surface of a metal case (140) for forming the snorkel; a plurality sheets of split carbon based bricks (10) mounted on the outer surface of the metal case; an upper support (20) in which a corresponding conical inclination plane is formed on a conical inclination plane on an upper part of the carbon based bricks to fix the split carbon based bricks to the metal case, and which is fixed to the metal case; and a ring shaped lintel member (30) installed at a lower part of the metal case to support a stepped projection on a lower part of the carbon based bricks, wherein the carbon based bricks comprises 50 to 95 wt.% of magnesia aggregate, 5 to 30 wt.% of carbon, 2 to 20 wt.% of alumina aggregate, metallic and nonmetallic additives and phenol binder, and wherein the carbon based bricks are formed in a one single structure and has durability against external impact by filling monolithic refractories in a space between the inner surface of the carbon based bricks and the metal case, thereby integrally fixing the carbon based bricks to the metal case.
