PURPOSE: Provided are a fuel cell assembly and a method for increasing the efficiency of a fuel cell by using a moving channel whose cross-sectional area changes gradually. CONSTITUTION: The fuel cell assembly (100) comprises at least one fuel cell unit(110); and at least one moving channel(120, 130) from the inflow hole(140, 145) between adjacent fuel cell unit(110) to the outflow hole(150, 155), wherein at least one moving channel has a cross-sectional area which changes gradually. Preferably the fuel cell assembly comprises further a spacer(160) partially defining the moving channel. The method comprises the step of passing a gas through the moving channel having a cross-sectional area which changes gradually along the moving channel, thereby controlling the pressure along the moving channel and maintaining the reaction equilibrium state.
