摘要

PURPOSE: Adaptive sleeping and an awakening protocol for an energy efficient adhoc network to support flexible trade-offs between energy savings and latency are provided to schedule awakening of nodes and adaptively set sleep periods of the nodes in a synchronous multiple node adhoc network. CONSTITUTION: A wake-up process is performed to wake up at least one node from a sleep mode during at least one associated slot of a time-slotted frame. The sleep mode is a low power consumption mode. A determining process is performed to determine, at the node, when an adjacent node awakens by using a wake-up determination process employed by the adjacent node.
