PURPOSE: A system for highly concentrating sludge and reducing water content using a DAF(dissolved air flotation) pump is provided, which can sustain self-purification capacity of a filtering basin for a long time, reduce washing water greatly, eliminate requirement of repurifying of water, diminish the capacity of primary and secondary concentration tanks, prevent secondary pollution by discharging effluent water of good quality, and reduce operation load of a dewatering device. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises the followings: (i) a coagulating and settling tank (30) for settling coagulated suspended material; (ii) a primary concentration tank (80) for concentrating sludge; (iii) a secondary concentration tank (90) for reconcentrating sludge; (iv) a de-watering tank (100) for receiving sludge from sludge storage tank (190) and dewatering the sludge; and (v) many flotation tanks (110,120,130,140,150,160) including DAF(dissolved air flotation) pumps for removing fine sludge in supernatant water from the settling tank (30) to a filtering basin (40) through the flotation tank(110), for reducing water content of sludge from the settling tank (30) to the primary concentration tank (80) through the flotation tank(120), for receiving a part of supernatant water from the primary concentration tank (80) and sending sludge in it to the secondary concentration tank (90) and delivering the supernatant water through the flotation tank (130), for receiving sludge from the secondary concentration tank (90) and sending it to a sludge storage tank (190) through the flotation tank (140), for receiving washing water from the de-watering tank (100) and sending sludge in it to the sludge storage tank (190) and supernatant water to a filter media washing water tank (200) through the flotation tank (150), and for regenerating effluent water and using it as washing water of the dewatering tank (100) through the flotation tank (160).
