PURPOSE: A system and a method for operating a bankbook or a financial transaction card attaching a money barcode are provided to prevent a user from forgetting or confusing a password by attaching the money barcode making the user remember the password through the association between the first and the second password. CONSTITUTION: A money barcode reader/terminal(14) transmits the data of the money barcode, and the first, the second, and the third password to a cashier terminal(16) by reading the money barcode of the bankbook(10) or the financial transaction card(12). The cashier terminal(16) makes the user associate and remember the first and the second password from the number including the first and the second password by displaying the data of the money barcode, and confirms the first, the second, and the third password transmitted from the first, the second, and the third server(18,22,26). A photo/fingerprint recognizer(28) compares a photo or a fingerprint of the user from the third server(26) with the photo or the fingerprint from the money barcode reader/terminal(14), and transmits a comparison result to the cashier terminal(16).
