A Method for estimating dynamic responses of structures.

PURPOSE: A method for inferring a dynamic response of a structure is provided to accurately predict the dynamic response to translation and the degree of freedom in rotation by applying a state inference technique, to inter the dynamic response of an actual place difficult to measure on the spot, and to obtain economical efficiency by reducing the number of sensors. CONSTITUTION: A whole finite element model of an objective structure is established. An interpretive model having the minimum degree of freedom related to the point to measure actually and the point to infer a response is established by miniaturizing the finite element model. The response of the point easy to measure is measured. The measured response is converted into a frequency area. From the frequency area, a response at a desired point is inferred. The inferred response is processed by the invert Fourier transformation to determine the response of the structure in a time area.
