Method of Realizing Mobile Communication Packet Data Network in the ATM Swiching Backbone Network

PURPOSE: A method is provided to have a packet data network on an ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) backbone network, which provides a radio packet data service in a mobile communication system. CONSTITUTION: A method for implementing packet data of mobile communication in an ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) backbone network, comprises the steps of: an RNC(Radio Network Controller) managing and controlling call control and transmission of user data, by wirelessly matching in a mobile station; an MSC(Mobile Switching Center) providing a location of the mobile station by including an ATM exchange, and switching packet data; a PDGN(Packet Data Gateway Node) managing an IP(Internet Protocol) movement of the mobile station, managing routing information of the packet data, and connecting the user packet data with other data networks.
