PURPOSE: A fingerprint authentication method using the Internet is provided to prevent the hacking of user information and the illegal user authentication by identifying a user via a fingerprint authentication server. CONSTITUTION: The user fingerprint information is registered in an authentication server via a user terminal. A disposable fingerprint authentication number is provided to the user after the fingerprint information stored in an authentication database is compared to the fingerprint information inputted by the user(S105). The fingerprint authentication number of the user is transmitted to a web server(S114). The web server transmits the fingerprint authentication number to an authentication server(S116). The authentication server verifies the fingerprint authentication number provided to the user(S117). If the fingerprint authentication number is the same as the fingerprint authentication number of the user, the web server provides a service to the user terminal(S118).
