Treatment method of sewage and wastewater by using activated humic substances

PURPOSE: A sewage and wastewater treatment method using activated humus is provided, which can adjust oxidation reduction potential to more than +250 mV by using a cultivation tank that has a bio-reactor filled with solid activated humus pellet and pumice stone and by feeding liquid activated humus, and so can conduct an advanced biological treatment as well as treatment of BOD and COD. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises the followings: (i) a sump tank (1) for receiving sewage and wastewater and for supplying to aeration tank through a conveying pump (2); (ii) four aeration tanks (3) in which carrier or microorganism is filled for converting organic matter, nitrogen and phosphorus to humus precursor that is water insoluble by biological humification reaction of these microorganism; (iii) a settling tank (5) in which a scrapper (6) is installed at the bottom for discharging settled sludge to the aeration tank (3) and a concentration tank (10) through a recycle pump (8); (iv) a treated water tank (7) for receiving treated water from the settling tank (5) and for discharging; (v) a cultivation tank (13) that has a vertical bio-reactor (14) in which layers of pellets (15) of activated humus material and pumice stone (16) of are packed for cultivating microorganism of converting organic matter to humus material, a macro polymer, and for feeding to the aeration tank (3); and (vi) a concentration tank (10) in which a scrapper (11) is installed.
