Silk peptide and silk fibroin powder materials made by silk and manufacturing method for those materials

PURPOSE: Provided are a silk peptide which can be added to foods and a high molecular weight water-insoluble fibroin powder which can be used for industry and a method for producing the same by using silk. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing a silk peptide and a high molecular weight water-insoluble fibroin powder comprises the steps of: hydrolysis of silk using calcium hydroxide or barium hydroxide; filtering the hydrolyzed silk; washing the filtered solid and drying it; precipitating alkali components in the filtrated solution and filtering the filtrated solution to remove the alkali components; and concentrating and drying the filtrated solution, wherein the alkali components are precipitated by using at least one compound selected from sulfuric acid, oxalic acid, liquid carbon dioxide, dry ice and ammonium bicarbonate; and the hydrolysis of silk is carried out at 90 to 100 deg. C for 8 to 48 hours.
