PURPOSE: A method for managing termination and origination history information in a mobile communication terminal is provided to manage history information with respect to a termination and origination time according to a specific telephone number without repeatedly storing an object's telephone number terminated and originated through the mobile communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication terminal confirms whether a terminated and originated object's telephone number is stored in a termination and origination history list(S402). If the terminated and originated object's telephone number is stored in the termination and origination history list, the mobile communication terminal additionally stores a termination and origination type and time information, which are history information of the currently terminated and originated telephone number(S403). If the currently terminated and originated telephone number is not stored in the termination and origination history list, the mobile communication terminal confirms whether a storing space for storing the currently terminated and originated telephone number exists in a memory region for storing termination and origination history information(S404). If the storing space for storing the currently terminated and originated telephone number exists, the mobile communication terminal stores the currently terminated and originated telephone number in an No. 1 sequence and shifts the sequence of conventionally stored termination and origination telephone numbers(S405). If the storing space for storing the currently terminated and originated telephone number does not exist, the mobile communication terminal deletes a telephone number stored in the lowest sequence and history information about the telephone number in a conventionally stored termination and origination history list(S406), and shifts the sequence of the conventionally stored termination and origination telephone numbers and stores the currently terminated and originated telephone number(S405). The mobile communication terminal displays the stored termination and origination telephone number and history information about the telephone number according to the request of a user(S407).
