PURPOSE: A natural river water purification system using biological contact oxidation is provided, which is characterized in that effluent discharged from wastewater treatment plants is treated naturally by using natural bank and plants. Therefore, wastewater is purified naturally by using contact oxidation power of plants. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises: biological contact oxidizing tanks(3)(4)(5) packed with contact media(8) and stone mesh bag(9) for cultivating aquatic plants; plants which is cultivated on the upper part of the biological contact oxidizing tanks(3)(4)(5) for secondary treatment of pollutants; and sludge ports(14) for recycling or removing settled sludge. A biofilter(10) is installed at the upper part of the first biological contact oxidizing tanks(3) for removing odor.
