PURPOSE: Provided is a mixed phosphor which shows high brightness, is prepared at a low temperature to reduce the manufacturing cost, and is suitable to be used in a white light emitting device having excellent color reproducibility and color stability. CONSTITUTION: The mixed phosphor comprises: a first phosphor containing X3-yMgSi2O8 as a matrix and divalent Eu as a reactivating agent, and represented by the formula of X3-yMgSi2O8:yEu2+ (in which X is at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Ca, Sr and Ba and y ranges from 0.005 to 0.06); and a second phosphor containing X2-zSiO4 as a matrix and divalent Eu as an activator and represented by the formula of X2-zSiO4:zEu2+ (in which X is at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Ca, Sr and Ba and y ranges from 0.005 to 0.06), wherein the mixing ratio of the first phosphor to the second phosphor is a:1, in which a is more than 0 and not greater than 10.
