METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CALCULATING NUMBER OF AUDIENCE AT DVD THEATER ACCORDING AS ON-DEMAND VIDEO IS PLAYED

PURPOSE: A DVD audience number calculating method and system at a DVD theater is provided to perform a billing process at a DVD theater where digital content is disseminated from a content providing server to a VOD(Video On Demand) server, and is played via the VOD server. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a content dissemination server(100), the internet(600), a VOD server(200), a projector(300), a screen(400) and a camera(500). The content dissemination server(100) is connected to the VOD server(200) over the internet(600). The content dissemination server(100) controls a registration or a deletion of encoded digital content, transmits the digital content to the VOD server(200) over the internet(600). The VOD server, installed at each VOD theater, receives the digital content from the content dissemination server(100). The camera(500), connected to the VOD server(200), takes a picture of the audience within the DVD theater, the VOD server(200) stores the taken picture of the audience, and counts the number of the audience via a data analysis process.
