PURPOSE: A method of repairing an oil storage tank by butt welding an inner peripheral surface of an oil storage tank of corrosion progress with a strip with a specified width is provided which prevents oil leakage caused by corrosion in advance. CONSTITUTION: A metal inner sidewall part(20') having the same shape as that of an oil storage tank is constructed at both sidewall parts(20) of the oil storage tank which is already installed. The metal inner sidewall parts are cut at the same interval to be introduced through an inlet(30) and then introduced into a body part. Thereafter, a metal body strip(80) is introduced into the body part to form a body inside wall while connecting and welding the cut sidewall strip(70), and a long side of the body strip is brought in touch with all the inner peripheral surfaces of the body part and then butt welded.
