The present invention provides a herbal composition for treating peptic ulcer comprising an oil of cypodium ambrosioide and an oil of Adina filulifera at a weight ratio of 18-70: 0.5-5 and a method of preparing the herbal composition. The herbal composition has a therapeutic effect on peptic ulcers in mammals including humans, and the inhibitory power of pyloric salivary glands is also strong.
