METHOD FOR STERILIZING MICROWAVE OVEN HAVING A STERILIZING ULTRAVIOLET LAMP

PURPOSE: A method for sterilization is provided to sterilize food and other stuff for sanitation using high heat and ultraviolet ray lamp with a locking mode of sterilization. CONSTITUTION: A high heat from a heater and an electromagnetic wave from a magnetron are radiated to a cooking chamber to cook food. A controlling portion comprises a program to let a user know whether utensils are sterilized in a cooking chamber. The program comprises a step of outputting an initial value by detecting weight of stuff on a tray when a sterilization key is on. After sterilization, a first value of the weight is outputted. If the initial value is larger than the first value, it is indicated that there is a stuff in the cooking chamber and a locking mode is operated.
