PURPOSE: An apparatus for separating waste is provided to certainly classify and discharge wastes such as vinyl or wood pieces impossible to be regenerated, thus eliminating a time consuming manual separation work and the contamination of environment due to the inaccurate separation of waste. CONSTITUTION: Light waste(93) such as vinyl input from a waste input conveyor(13) is withdrawn by a rake rotatably installed along a driving chain and then is dropped into a lower waste withdrawal hole(14) of a separator housing(11) through a transfer drum rotating in opposite direction of the driving chain. For this, the driving chain is rotatably coupled to driving sprockets of driving shafts located at both sides, and a center support shaft is rotatably supported on a support sprocket. The rake comprised of a steel wire brush and a resin brush is coupled to a rake support integrally coupled out of the driving chain at regular distances. The transfer drum is formed with a waste withdrawal guiding groove between guiding groove split ribs about a drum rotating shaft.
