APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATICALLY MAINTAINING CORE DIRECTION, INCLUDING PROXIMITY SENSORS, BALL FLANGE, STEPPING MOTOR, AND CONTROL UNIT

PURPOSE: An apparatus is provided to reduce work time and error by automatically maintaining alignment direction of stator iron pieces so as to wind coils on stator iron pieces of a motor. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises proximity sensors(41,42,43) arranged on a line connecting centers of I-shaped poles; a jig(45) where a core for winding is mounted; a ball flange(44) for fixing the core mounted on the jig such that the core does not move; a stepping motor(46) for rotating the jig such that the core mounted on the jig is placed at an accurate position with respect to the device for winding; and a control unit for sensing on/off operation of the sensors in accordance with the sensing operations of the proximity sensors at the state where the core is mounted on the jig, and rotating the stepping motor until a satisfactory condition is obtained.
