摘要

PURPOSE: A gain measurement apparatus for a multi channel optical amplifier is provided to measure signal gain as to each channel wavelength without having all light sources corresponding to each channel. CONSTITUTION: According to the gain measurement apparatus measuring channel gain of a multi channel optical amplifier amplifying multi channel signal light, a plurality of signal light sources(200) output a signal light having different wavelength. A probe signal light source(210) generates a signal light whose intensity and wavelength are controlled. An optical multiplexer(220) multiplexes an output signal light of the plurality of signal light sources and an output signal light of the probe signal light source. An optical amplification unit(230) separates the multiplexed signal light with an equal ratio, and amplified one light of the separated light. And a measurement system(240) measures the intensity of the probe signal light to calculate amplification gain of the probe signal light.
