PURPOSE: A method for applying and designing a full-duplex fast Ethernet system and token ring medium control system to a ring type communication network is provided to reduce a maintenance cost and satisfy time characteristics and stability of data of an industrial site. CONSTITUTION: A fast Ethernet is used at a physical layer in order to reduce a maintenance cost of a communication network, and each node is connected by a full-duplex fast Ethernet in order to make a ring type topology. Each node includes a frame transmitter and receiver in order to reduce token processing time. When a token is received, each node transmits data desired to be transmitted. Each node uses an Ethernet of a full-duplex system and indicates a token frame by using a type/length field of an Ethernet frame. Each node has a transmission authority, that is, a token, in a predetermined order, and when each node obtains a token, it transmits data. The transmitted data is broadcast to an entire communication network, and accordingly, each node has information of the entire communication network. Each node becomes a transmission state only when it obtains the token.
