PURPOSE: The system and method for publicizing the product or service of the private homepage having the function to upload the portal page automatically are provided to automatically upload the item information of the private homepage to the item information DB of the portal server, and to publicize the product or service through over a portal site or a subject area. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a portal server(101), a DB server(109), a portal site manager (121), and a private homepage manager(127). The portal server with a portal server information update module stores a portal site web document(105) and a private homepage web document(107). The DB server includes a portal site DB(111) and a private homepage DB(113). When the user creates the private homepage in the portal site, the private homepage web document and the private homepage DB are created from every private homepage. The portal site manager and private homepage manager connect to the portal server via the network(115). An individual or company connects to the portal site and creates the private homepage. The item and service, that will post up on the private homepage through an item list page, are registered. The item information is stored to the private homepage DB. The item information is automatically uploaded to the portal site DB of the portal server by using the item information responding to the preregistered item of the private homepage. The auto-upload item information is posted up via the portal site and the community of the portal site.
