PURPOSE: A digital color ink jet printing paper and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to have an ink of a color ink jet printer absorbed, infiltrated and dried quickly. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method of the printing paper comprises the steps of: dispersing an alumina to a cation modified polyvinyl alcohol and a cation modified cellulose to prepare an alumina sol; adding a cation surfactant to a hydrophilic polymer to prepare a cationized polymer; mixing the alumina sol and the cationized polymer to prepare a polymer sol having a viscosity of 5 to 45 cps; applying the polymer sol to a printing paper; and drying.
