PURPOSE: A method is provided to increase a duty cycle and achieve improved luminance by performing data addressing by using two or more data electrodes. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a step of applying pulse voltages of opposite potentials to a pair of data electrode and scan electrode during addressing period in such a manner that discharge occurs only in pairs of data electrodes(13a, 13b) and scan electrodes from among the combination of data electrodes and scan electrodes. A plasma display panel includes two or more data electrodes corresponding to each of discharge cells.
