PURPOSE: A firmware realizing method using a flash ROM and an RAM is provided to store HDD boot codes and servo core codes in a flash ROM while using an RAM for interface, disk, and test codes, then to store substantial operational codes of an HDD in a predetermined area of a disk, thereby correcting when a firmware bug is generated. CONSTITUTION: Codes necessary for operating a hard disk drive are stored in a predetermined area of a disk. Boot codes of the hard disk drive and servo core codes are stored in a flash ROM(40) having a predetermined capacity. By using the codes stored in the flash ROM(40), the codes stored in the disk are uploaded in an RAM(42) to perform a substantial operation of the hard disk drive.
