Disclosed are a fungus Shimizuomyces sp. SJM, a method of culturing the fungus, and a composition for promotion of plant growth. The composition for promotion of plant growth of the present invention comprises a liquid culture medium of the fungus Shimizuomyces sp. SJM, prepared by a multi-step culturing process, and has effects of improving plant growth and sugar content.
