Reinforced Method of Head in a Prestressed Spun High Strength Concrete Pile

PURPOSE: A reinforcing method for a head of a prestressed concrete pile is provided to obtain high-quality pile foundation and to reduce the construction expenses by increasing the use of PHC piles. CONSTITUTION: The reinforcing method for a head of a prestressed concrete pile comprises the steps of: installing a ready-made PHC pile(10) to the solid bearing layer of the ground by prestressing with PC steel wires(11); cutting out the concrete of a head of the PHC pile(10) by leaving the PC steel wires(11) of the PHC pile(10) untouched; putting pre-manufactured head stiffeners(20) to the exposed PC steel wires(11) to the head of the PHC pile(10), then placing over the head of the PHC pile(10); and inducing prestress by fitting an anchorage(40) to each PC steel wire(11) exposed to the head stiffener(20), tensioning the PC steel wires(11) and fixing the anchorage(40) to the upper part of the head stiffener(20).
