METHOD FOR RELEASING STRESS OF A MAGNETIC HEAD CORE, IN PARTICULAR WITH REGARDS TO PREVENTING DETERIORATION OF A DATA PROCESSING SPEED WHEN MAGNETIC STRESS IS RELEASED, AND PREVENTING AN ERROR CAUSED BY THE MAGNETIC STRESS

PURPOSE: A method for releasing stress of a magnetic head core is provided to release magnetic stress after moving a head to a parking area when a command is not inputted for more than a certain time, thereby releasing accumulated stress of a magnetic head core without influencing a data processing speed. CONSTITUTION: If a new command is not inputted for a certain time, the certain time and a light current value for releasing magnetic stress are set(11). A system decides whether an execution mode of a hard disk drive is set to a wake up mode(12). If so, the system decides whether a command is inputted for the set certain time(13). If so, the system transfers a head to a parking area(14). The system drives a spindle motor(15). The system executes a light mode to release the magnetic stress accumulated in a magnetic head core(16).
