PURPOSE: A method for controlling an electronic cash register capable of simultaneously registering for a plurality of users is provided to reduce the time loss required for the wait by operating one cash register by a number of cashiers simultaneously. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling an electronic cash register capable of simultaneously registering for a plurality of users includes the steps of: inputting(S11) the number of cashiers and the corresponding input device and the display unit; performing(S12,S13) the sale of the products through the process for waiting the sale; performing(S16,S17) the settlement of account through the input device; determining(S18) who is a preceding cashier among the cashiers through the key input; and issuing(S19,S20,S21,S22) the corresponding receipt at the step S18.
