METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING AN MPEG TP PACKET OVER THE INTERNET, SPECIFICALLY CORRELATED TO SIMPLIFYING AN RTP(REAL TIME PROTOCOL) HEADER BY USING AN STP(STREAM TRANSPORT PROTOCOL)

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting an MPEG TP(Transport Protocol) packet over the Internet is provided to realize an RTP(Real Time Protocol) header consisting of a 2-byte sequence and 7 MPEG TP packets by using an STP(Stream TP), and to transmit packets, thereby reducing a bandwidth when using the STP. CONSTITUTION: A system realizes an RTP header by using an STP. The system checks a sequence value. If the sequence value arrives at a maximum value, the system generates a reset. The system enables a server to transmit a reset packet to a client while transmitting the number of MPEG TP packets to a client, in order to compare the number of packets received so far with the number of the packets transmitted from the server. The system calculates a network transmission loss rate by comparing the number of the packets. The system is further assigned with packets according to the calculated value or completes the procedure.
