REMOTE INTERNET RETRIEVING METHOD USING AN INTERNET TV TO RECEIVE INFORMATION OF A DESIRED WEB SITE THROUGH A TELEPHONE OR A FACSIMILE

PURPOSE: A remote Internet retrieving method using an Internet TV is provided to receive information of a desired web site at a low price through a telephone or a facsimile in remote place and perform a function by adding a simple software without adding a hardware. CONSTITUTION: If a calling signal is received from the outside, it is judged whether a current mode is an Internet retrieval mode. If the current mode is the Internet retrieval mode, a password is requested. A dial tone inputted from an external caller is detected and confirmed. A received medium, a corresponding number and a retrieval web site are inputted, and the telephone call is ended. A corresponding web site is connected to receive and store an HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language) document, and the Internet retrieval is ended. It is judged whether a medium to transmit the received HTML document is a telephone or a facsimile. If the medium is the telephone, only a text portion is extracted from the stored HTML document and the extracted text portion is transmitted to a user through voice synthesis. If the medium is the facsimile, the stored HTML document is converted into a facsimile format and the HTML document with facsimile format is transmitted to the user.
