The Single Roll to Produce Alloy Ribbons Equipped with Cooling Device Using Heat Pipe Principal

PURPOSE: A single roll for producing alloy articles is provided to uniformly distribute heat on an upper surface of the single roll by installing a cooling device such that the cooling device surrounds an outer peripheral portion of the single roll. CONSTITUTION: A single roll(11) includes a cooling device body(13), an actuating fluid(15), and a porous member(14). The cooling device body(13) is closed in such a manner that a vacuum state is maintained in the cooling device body(13). The cooling device body(13) is wound around an outer peripheral portion of the single roll(11). The actuating fluid(15) is accommodated in the actuating device body(13) so as to discharge latent heat generated due to a gas-liquid phase change. The porous member(14) is installed along an inner peripheral portion of the cooling device body(13) so as to move the actuating fluid(15) into a high-temperature section.
