PURPOSE: A live sports game broadcast system and method is provided to install a plurality of cameras at facilities of popular sports, and perform a live broadcast over the internet so that it enables a user to select a facility or a camera according to the user's inclination. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a plurality of cameras(100), an encoding server(110), a streaming server(250), a member management server(220), a chatting server(230), a VOD server(240), a database server(260) and an edition server(220). The cameras(100), installed at sports facilities, take video of the athletic games. The encoding server(110) converts the image signals, taken by the cameras(100), into the digital signals, then compresses the digital image signals, and then transmits the compressed data to a router(270). The streaming server(250) enables a user to view the image signals by real time if the user selects the camera. The chatting server(230) enables the user to chat with other users while watching the sports game.
