COMPATIBLE APPARATUS WHEN AN INCANDESCENT SIGNAL LAMP IN A TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROLLER HAVING THE FUNCTION OF RED FAIL MONITORING IS SUBSTITUTED WITH A LED SIGNAL LAMP

PURPOSE: An exchangeable apparatus is provided to enable to use the prior traffic signal controller when a glow lamp of a traffic signal controller having a red signal absence sensing function is replaced with a LED signal lamp. CONSTITUTION: According to the exchangeable apparatus, a detection unit detects a current signal of a red signal lamp. An amplification unit amplifies the above current signal detected in the above detection unit. A control part judges whether the current signal amplified in the amplification unit is a short signal, and transmits a signal stopping signal display of the signal lamp if it is judged to be a short signal. A light turn on/off unit turns on/off a yellow signal lamp or a red signal lamp by the stop signal transmitted from the control part.
