PURPOSE: A method for embodying a priority of an IP address and a DHCP(Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server for embodying the same are provided to enable a user who uses a DHCP client for receiving a licensed or a private IP in a priority to embody reliable network environment in case that a network environment is constructed using a method for supplying a priority in accordance with an IP distribution of a DHCP server. CONSTITUTION: An IP address pool(40) stores an IP address. An IP address rank deciding module(60) embodies a rank on the IP address stored in the IP address pool(40). An IP address selection module(50) selects one IP address of the IP pool and transmits an IP address to a data source(20) of a message transmission module(10). A message transmission module(10) includes a data source(20) and a data sink(15). In addition, a host setting module(30) is provided, and an error report module(70) and a timer(80) can be provided.
