Development of automatic illuminator system for test specimen character recognizing system

PURPOSE: An automatic illuminator system for test a specimen character recognizing system is provided to effectively recognize the character of a test piece by automatically controlling the light volume of a super-brightness LED array corresponding to the reflexibility and roughness of the surface of the test piece. CONSTITUTION: The automatic illuminator system automatically controls the light volume of a super-brightness LED array(20) corresponding to the surface state of a test piece. The automatic illuminator system comprises a half mirror(21) to use a portion of the lights irradiated from the LED array and reflect the rest lights, a light detector(22) placed on the half mirror to detect the volume of the lights reflected onto the surface of the test piece, a light intensity control unit(23) to control the light volume of the LED array corresponding to the intensity of the lights detected by the light detector, and an electricity supply unit(24) to supply electricity to the light volume control unit. The half mirror is used as a diffuser for maintaining the even illumination area.
