SUBSTANCE: procedure determining energy consumption in process of destruction test of brittle materials includes measurement of destruction parameters of specimen in testing machine, construction of diagram and determination of energy consumption for destruction test by it. Change of power of motor lifting working table of testing machine in time is used in the capacity of parameters to plot complete diagram. Energy consumption is found area beneath diagram of change of power in time with due account of efficiency of motor. EFFECT: increased accuracy and authenticity and reduced labor input to determination of energy characteristics of crack resistance in process of real destruction of materials. 1 dwg
