FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology, medicine. SUBSTANCE: method for preparing indicated end product involves the following stages: isolation of 4,5,6,7-tetrachloro- 2',4',5',7'-tetraiodofluorescein from dye Bengal pink, its purification, heterogenous isotope exchange of iodine-127 in it using radioactive iodine and potassium iodate in hydrochloric acid-ethanol medium for 15- 20 min at 20 C. Method provides increase of radiochemical yield above 5% and enhancement of radiochemical purity of the end product. Method can be used for large-scale production and safety with respect to ecology. 4,5,6,7-Tetrachloro-2',4',5',7'-tetraiodofluorescein sodium salt labeled with iodine radionuclides represents pharmaceutical preparation for diagnostic aims and can be used in radionuclide diagnosis and topographic-anatomical investigations of liver state.
