METHOD FOR EXPRESS-DIAGNOSTICS OF TICK- BORNE ENCEPHALITIS

FIELD: medicine, virology. SUBSTANCE: in patients with tick's bites one should sample the blood. The latter should be taken out of the vein at the volume of 5-10 ml into the tube with heparin solution at 25 U/ml blood to be kept for 50- 60 min at 23- 25 C or during 25-30 min at 35-37 C. Then one should obtain leukocytic suspension out of the upper layer of the sample to wash it with working solution. Then leukocytic mass is precipitated due to centrifuging for 10 min at 1500 rot./min, moreover, the trial should be carried out during the day of blood sampling and according to specific antigens available in leukocytic mass it is possible to diagnose tick-borne encephalitis. The method enables to obtain increased velocity and percentage in detecting antigen for tick-borne encephalitis virus in earlier incubation period.
