FIELD: metallurgy; production of alloys for pressure casting. SUBSTANCE: proposed alloy contains the following components, mass-%: L, 1.5-5; Si, 0.6-1.4; Mn, 0.01-0.6; rare-earth metals, 0.01-0.4; Zn, up to 0.5; the remainder being Mg and admixtures. Method of production of alloy includes introduction of Mn in the amount of 0.01-0.6 mass-% for reduction of content of Fe admixtures and introduction of rare-earth metals in the amount of 0.01- 0.4 mass-% for maintenance of low level of Mn and Fe.
